WIN Energy REMC, a progressive electric distribution cooperative with headquarters located in Vincennes, IN, has an opening for an entry level accountant in the Vincennes, IN office. WIN Energy REMC serves over 17,000 meters across approximately 2,650 miles of line in eight southern Indiana counties with the mission to “Provide safe reliable electric service at the best value to our member-consumers while supporting the communities we serve”. The cooperative has 51 employees in three office locations with satellite offices in Princeton, IN and Sullivan, IN. WIN Energy REMC is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative and purchases its wholesale power supply from Hoosier Energy, REC, Inc.

The ideal candidate is required to have a Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree with equivalent years of experience in Accounting. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be proficient in a variety of computer applications. Knowledge in the areas of accounting, finance, billing, and purchasing is highly desirable. Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle high work load.

Applicant must demonstrate ability to speak and interact effectively with co-workers and maintain confidentiality. Must be detail oriented, exhibit teamwork, and follow policies to support cooperative goals. This position works in a typical office environment with normal working hours. However, overtime is sometimes required, including call-outs during emergencies.
