PMP Personnel Services is partnered with a Manufacturing client in Oscoda, MI who is actively looking to hire qualified individuals for an Accounting Assistant career. Who are ready to start the ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Accounting Assistant Benefits:

  • 1st shift hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Create, modify, sort, and update reports in Excel
  • Import and export files form QuickBooks using IIF creator
  • Perform data entries in QuickBooks
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing financial report
  • Locate and retrieve documents from the LAN and print, copy or forward via e-mail as required.
  • Assist with various accounting tasks as required
  • Enter payroll data and prepare payroll reports
  • Answer and direct phone calls, pages and make intercom announcements professionally
  • Proof correspondence for senior staff
  • File accounting records
  • Assist with various other administrative and accounting tasks
  • Assist with preparing facilities for staff conferences, meetings and events.
  • Enter accounts payable invoices scheduled for payment into the system

Accounting Assistant Qualifications:

To be considered for the Accounting Assistant position, applicants should:

  • Associates or Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Solid computer and data entry skills/experience with QuickBooks, Excel and Word.
