Job Summary: Large Retailer Seeks a Accounting Analyst. The role will be responsible for a wide array of financial, strategic, and operational analyses supporting all aspects of the company, mainly focused on our Joint Venture Partners.

• Assist in creation, management, and analytical review of custom monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for internal and external customers.
• Prepare and record joint venture related journal entries
• Prepare joint venture related account reconciliations monthly
• Perform month end closing procedures related to joint ventures
• Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to support company-wide decision making with analytical tools.
• Support retail business development efforts nationwide by developing new store projection models based on industry data compilation and benchmarking analysis.
• Perform analysis of store sales, traffic, and conversation data to determine the effectiveness of store selling efforts across the entire chain as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 2 – 5 years of accounting experience.
• Must have experience with financial analysis.
• Possess strong PC skills such as Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of mainframe financial systems (Great Plains plus).
