Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform facility related revenue accounting activities within prescribed time schedules and
guidelines
  • Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform and summarize variance analysis for patient revenue and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and resolve outstanding issues on assigned account reconciliations
  • Field and assess ad-hoc requests, producing clear and concise reports for stakeholders
  • Support and drive Team/Company initiatives
  • Understand and maintain strict adherence to internal controls over financial reporting
Qualifications:
  • BS in in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance preferred; healthcare experience
preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • PeopleSoft Hyperion experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of patient accounting systems and revenue cycle process preferred

Candidates based in Alabama within driving distance to Birmingham preferred.
