ICP Group is looking to hire an Accountant to join our team in Tampa, FL. The Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting support to the controller. The accountant will record daily and monthly transactional activity while adhering to GAAP and ICP accounting policies. The Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end close reports, and financial statements. This position has the opportunity to allow a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

• Manage all aspects of daily general ledger transactions and preparing monthly financial package.
• Produce monthly journal entries, accruals, balancing reports, account analysis, reconciliations, and general ledger work.
• Reconcile bank accounts.
• Record payroll entries and prepare payroll accruals.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end analysis.
• Work with AR/AP and other departments as needed to resolve issues.
• Focus on providing timely, accurate and meaningful insight with respect to the financial performance of the company.
• Possess a customer service attitude with internal and external users of financial information.
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting.
• 2-3 years accounting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must be able to multi-task and produce effective and qualitative analytics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
• Experience in Sage 500 and Syspro a plus - Ability to learn new ERP Systems.
