Responsibilities


CHI Great Plains Rehabilitation Services is looking for a Full Time Account Representative to join the team!


The Account Representative with GPRS is responsible for being a resource for customers and referrals sources for all things insurance benefits, out of pocket expenses, coverage criteria for payment of medical items being provided and other customer service related items. What You'll Do:

  • Calls insurance companies or accesses website portals to verify m benefits /eligibility.
  • Assures insurance policy information is current and correct claims submission information is documented within the customer account.
  • Reviews physician prescriptions to determine what items and services are being requested.
  • Contacts physician offices to request supporting documentation.
  • Reviews all supporting documentation received to make determination of insurance coverage.
  • Keys all initial orders for rental and supplies.
  • Works with customer service to assure all resupply orders have appropriate prescriptions and customers are eligible to receive their resupply orders prior to dispense.
  • Initiate all ABN/AMN waivers and meets with customers to explain any coverage issues/concerns
  • Consistently volunteers to assist co-workers with their job duties.
  • Willingness to train/educate coworkers , demonstrates patience, kindness, and professionalism at all times
  • Uses professional skills when handling calls and inquires by patients and coworkers.
  • Consistently available to patient and coworkers by closely following hospital policy regarding personal phone calls and internet use.
  • Research, review and respond to all verbal and written correspondence including e-mails as necessary to ensure timely response.
  • Consistently demonstrates self-learning skills by keeping informed of payer rules and guidelines by reading journals, newsletters, articles, payer websites and emails.

Qualifications


Education:
High school diploma required, Associates degree in a related field preferred, but not required.

Experience: One year previous experience as a customer service representative required. Experience in Durable Medical Equipment or other medical services or insurance industry preferred, but not required.


Pay Range
$18.85 - $25.21 /hour
