Primary Purpose:

The Account Manager is responsible for meeting defined sales targets by developing qualified leads, managing the full sales and pre-sales cycles, and nurturing existing customers. In addition to being an excellent communicator, an ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy and exceptional negotiation skills. This position will serve both local and national markets and include federal, state, corporate and utility customers.

Job Highlights:

  • Developing and qualifying new business from both inbound and outbound leads.
  • Perform general prospecting and marketing, including cold calls and networking.
  • Coordinate with qualified electricians to complete prospective site assessments and create detailed written reports to present to subcontractors and internal Voltrek teams.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through accurate presentations and proposals.
  • Manage tasks and resources related to your customers’ engagements, ensuring optimal productivity and accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively toward team alignment and mutual respect within the sales department and across the organization.
  • Develop strong technical knowledge of Level 2 and direct-current fast charger (DCFC) solutions for powering EVs.
  • Immerse yourself in the EV charging space by tracking market changes, technology advancements, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) developments, general EV trends, and understanding the needs of EV drivers.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or Marketing, Business, or Similar preferred; or minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role and industry.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Experience using spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Office Excel, Google Sheets) and Word-processing applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Word, Google Docs).
  • Proven record of driving successful sales from start to finish.
  • Experience developing and delivering client-focused, creative, and achievable solutions.
  • Ability and capacity to simultaneously manage multiple projects and work within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills; possess complex problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Experience with EV charging station infrastructure projects, including an in-depth understanding of construction procedures, project management principles, and EV charging products.
  • Proficiency in using computers, the internet, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools, with the aptitude to learn other digital programs/applications.

Travel Expectations: Up to 20% of regional travel
