Athletics Corporate Sponsorship Account Executive

Job Summary

The Corporate Sponsorship Account Executive will assist the General Sales Manager of Corporate Sponsorships in all aspects of sales and sponsorship programs for Brigham Young University Athletics, including but not limited to overseeing all aspects of corporate sponsorship sales, managing certain inventory aspects of the operation, all aspects of customer service and client relationship building, and other duties as assigned.

What You’d Be Responsible For

  • All aspects of corporate sponsorship sales
    • Maintain and manage a total book of business of up to $1 million
    • Prospect new business and potential partners
    • Develop and pitch fully integrated sponsorship packages designed to meet clients’ needs
    • Close new business accounts
    • Adhere to a sales commission plan established by General Manager
    • Fulfill advertising/sponsorship packages
  • Managing certain inventory aspects of the operation
    • Coordinate with other sales executives on inventory availability
    • Coordinate with vendors and appropriate university personnel to ensure all contract fulfillment is executed within scope of project and on time
  • All aspects of customer service and client relationship building
  • Cultivate relationships with current and prospective sponsors
  • Entertain existing sponsors to deepen their association with the Athletics department/university
  • Assist with Corporate Hospitality and other gameday duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
    • Work in collaboration with Athletic Marketing on the setup and execution of Cougar Canyon, our football gameday space
    • Assist with other gameday items, such as the gameday app, sponsorship fan engagement software, etc.

What Qualifies You to Apply?

Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) with at least 1 year of media sales experience

Preferred: More than 1 year of sales experience with a history of success in radio/media and/or sports advertising/sponsorship sales, preferably with a major Division 1 university, conference, and/or rights holder
