The mission of the Boston University Center for Antiracist Research is to convene researchers and practitioners from various disciplines to figure out novel and practical ways to understand, explain, and solve seemingly intractable problems of racial inequity and injustice. We foster exhaustive racial research, research-based policy innovation, data-driven educational and advocacy campaigns, and narrative-change initiatives. We are working toward building an antiracist society that ensures equity and justice for all.

The Antiracist Narrative Tracker is a new project that will advance a key mission of the Narrative Office's: Identifying and tracking racist narratives, developing antiracist narratives, and tracking change over time. The Program Director will oversee the Antiracist Narrative Tracker. This position will be responsible for developing and refining the research methodology for the Antiracist Narrative Tracker, ongoing data collection, and creating and implementing a plan to guide the tracker’s evolution. Working closely with the Faculty Chair of Narrative and reporting to the Associate Director of Narrative, this individual will work to identify research goals, prioritize the scope and focus of the tracker, manage a team of staff and/or interns, provide supervision to interns on methods and data analysis, and distill the data into a variety of formats.

The Program Director will also be responsible for developing and collaborating on research and narrative products to disseminate methods and findings from the tracker, including academic and/or public-facing publications. The individual will work closely with other staff in the Narrative Office, across the Center, and with external partners to ensure that the development, implementation, and dissemination of the tracker is informed by a variety of different stakeholders.


Required Skills
