The base salary range for an Agency Manager is $80,400 to $144,700. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance and individual performance.

Agency Manager Overview:

  • Oversees day-to-day operational activities related to the tracking and reporting of agency performance from lead management to termination of group reporting
  • Fosters positive relationships with sales staff, aligned insurance carriers, Blue Partner and by providing excellent management of sales operations support roles and duties
  • Manages the recording and reporting of all quotes (including pipeline management), sales, fulfillment, loss, commission handling, premium reporting and escalated issue
  • Explores opportunities to improve processes and to provide better service to our customers.
  • While the Able Insurance Agency Manager will not initially have direct reports, the incumbent must exhibit the skills to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, along with the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships and implement change management throughout the agency.

Essential Duties:

  • Partners with and provides management and support to Able sales staff, Blue partners, and brokers
  • Manages and directs sales support duties including tracking quotes, new business submission, timeline of enrollment, processing, reconciliation, implementation, issue resolution, commission/production reporting, enrollment data organization and reporting, equipment/supply/office management
  • Publish, maintain, and enhance a sales dashboard to be used with Blue Partner Reporting
  • Identifies weaknesses and develops improvement plans, setting and meeting monthly targets, and liaising with clients to ensure improved service, product delivery, and timely issue resolution.
  • Works with aligned insurance plans to ensure data exchanges and related process work effectively
  • Creates guidelines and processes as necessary for operational efficiency internally and with vendors
  • Manages and motivates sales operations team responsible for providing sales support and customer service
  • Directs performance, correction action, and rewards and recognition as needed; Ensures team members have the appropriate skills and tools necessary to accomplish their tasks and goals
  • Develops and conducts training for other sales operations administrators and sales staff on operational duties

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work on site at the Birmingham location

  • Intermediate MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and time-sensitive information

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related years of experience or military experience
  • 7+ years’ operations support experience in the insurance industry
  • Experience utilizing CRM software
  • Broad knowledge of insurance industry, knowledge of field

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree
  • 8+ years’ sales, enrollment and/or marketing operations support in the insurance industry
  • Experience with Gen4 Agency Management software
  • 1-2 years management/leadership experience preferred
  • Change Management experience
