Job Duties

Western State Hospital is seeking candidates for an A/P Supervisor & G/L Specialist position. Essential functions include: supervising AP staff and scheduling of workloads; will assist the Accounting Manager with G/L related duties and serve as backup to Accounting Manager in his/her absence; accurately key and process accounting transactions in Cardinal and FMS as required to ensure that the transactions are accurately and timely processed within State and hospital guidelines.

Hiring Range: $38,894 - $103,289

Minimum Qualifications

High School or equivalent with experience in accounting and/or financial related work. Knowledge of business English and mathematics, clerical, and office procedures. Demonstrated ability to perform computations with reasonable speed and accuracy. Ability to communicate with others in giving and maintaining information. Ability to follow prescribed operating procedures. Ability to organize time and complete assigned work in a timely manner. Knowledge of mainframe computers and software programs, such as Windows, Word, and Excel. Supervisory knowledge and experience with accounts payable procedures required. Working knowledge of general ledger functions. VCA required or willingness to acquire VCA.

Preferred Qualifications:

Purchasing experience is preferred. Bilingual a plus.
