Title:
Summer Technology Associate
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. (or more with assistance) up/downstairs, climb ladders.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and able to take direction.
- Must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate before the starting date.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports to:
Client Services Manager
Job Goal:
Provide assistance to the Department of Technology and Innovation staff in order to enhance student learning, promote the overall efficiency of the school systems, and maximize the educational opportunities available to each student.
Performance Responsibilities
- Unboxing, cleaning, and moving computers and printers
- Disconnecting/reconnecting workstations and networking equipment
- Confirm and record equipment locations
- Prepare equipment for recycling
- Physically cleaning projectors and classroom technology
- Other duties as assigned
Terms of Employment
- Temporary summer position. Length of the position to be determined by the district.
- Starting rate of $15/hour
- Up to 40 hours per week, matching Iowa City Community School Districts Office Hours
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License
