The Central Falls School District seeks to hire a Spanish-English bilingual and bi-literate dual language teacher to join our dual language elementary school team. Races Dual Language Academy at Robertson is a dual-language elementary school that serves students in grades Pre-K to 6. Our mission is to support students to meet the goals of: high levels of bilingualism and biliteracy; high levels of academic achievement; and high levels of sociocultural competence and confidence. The Central Falls School District is committed to recruiting diverse educators and supporting teacher development through ongoing professional opportunities.Candidates must possess a valid teacher certification. Requirements: Valid RI Certificate in Elementary Education 1-6 andValid RI Certification in Bilingual/Dual Language Spanish-English bilingual and bi-literate required Preferred: success in teaching multilingual learners at the upper elementary level.Other Requirements: The candidate must be willing to participate in ongoing professional learning to support the 50/50 dual language program philosophy and instructional approaches and to increase knowledge and skills in delivering district and school curriculum. An educator with Dual Language Certificate demonstrates English and Spanish proficiency AND has completed the following course work: first and second language acquisition; English linguistics; and curriculum, assessment, and methods for English Learners (RIDE reg.).
