Unitex is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Industrial Mechanic for our location in Hartford, CT (Ledyard St).

Compensation: $23-26/hour
Schedule:
11:30am-8:00pm, Monday-Friday, Full Time

Responsibilities:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing maintenance on various machines; following diagrams, machine manuals, and manufacturer’s instructions
- Troubleshoots malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation, discovering problems and making the repairs
- Performs minor and major repairs
- Handles preventative maintenance
- Complies with company policies and procedures
- Strives for safety
- Team player; works cooperatively with others to solve problems and proactively helps others when assistance is needed
Mechanic Requirements:
- 1+ years of industrial mechanic experience
- Automotive/aircraft/military experience is always welcomed and transitions easily to our environment
- Recent technical school graduates are encouraged to apply
Advanced Mechanic Requirements:
- Strong industrial maintenance experience working on large production machinery
- Processing and/or packaging plant maintenance
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of production plan maintenance including pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, power transmission, steam systems, pumps, etc.
- Understanding of PLCs
