Job description
St. Ambrose Catholic School is seeking a full-time lower School Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Lower School teachers are responsible for teaching all core subjects and religion. Ideal candidates have a deep devotion to the Catholic faith.
Qualifications:
- Required: Practicing Catholic in good standing
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree; classroom experience and pedagogy in lower elementary.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree; Virginia Teacher’s License (not required).
- Other Desired Qualifications:
- Polished and effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans
- Ability to manage well a classroom environment
- Ability to relate well with students
- Ability to be flexible in a smaller-school environment
- Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Compensation and Benefits: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
