Azure Summit Technology provides a wide range of multi-channel software defined radio products, innovative signal processing solutions and end-to-end mission payloads and systems for the full range of advanced RF applications including EW, radar, communications, and multi-mode RF operations. Systems can be tailored to meet a variety of requirements for bandwidth, dynamic range, number of channels, and computational resources. Supported platforms range from resource-constrained small UAVs and wearable devices to manned aircraft and maritime vessels.


What will you do?


Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Software Configuration Manager / DevSecOps Administrator. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is located at our Fairfax, Virginia, headquarters location with occasional overnight travel to our Melbourne, Florida, office; our contract manufacturing facility in Baltimore, Maryland; and various customer sites as required. Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description:


The selected candidate will be part of a talented team utilizing modern development tools, practices, and techniques to develop software solutions to the digital CI/CD pipelines across multiple security enclaves with an emphasis on automation. Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Perform all aspects of Configuration Management (CM) activities including the development of Configuration Management planning documentation
  • Assist in production of deliverable content and documentation associated with software releases
  • Conduct CM audits of software releases
  • Administer user accounts and content across the development tool suite (Including but not limited to Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Artifactory, and Jenkins)
  • Synchronize software source code, dependencies, and build artifacts across multiple security enclaves
  • Maintain, improve, and implement processes and automation surrounding the software development, build, integration, release, and delivery pipelines
  • Develop and maintain custom Jira workflows
  • Lead and participate in technical discussions across engineering and product teams
  • Keep up with current technology in the field through reading, self-study, and seminars
  • Perform project planning and status tracking, define detailed tasks, estimate the time and effort required to perform tasks, and periodic reporting on task status

Basic Requirements

  • US citizenship, due to nature of the work and contract requirement
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, due to nature of the work and contract requirement
  • BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, configuration management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Software CM, Software Development, DevSecOps Development, or related position
  • Previous experience using the Atlassian tool stack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Previous experience using Artifactory or similar artifact management tools
  • Previous experience with Bash and Python scripting
  • Comfort with working within Linux environments, including command-line interaction

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7 to 10+ years’ experience in a similar position
  • MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, configuration management or equivalent
  • Previous experience authoring Software Configuration Management Plans and Software Version Description Documents
  • Previous experience administering the Atlassian tool stack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), Artifactory, and Jenkins
  • Experience using Git in multi-repo and multi-branch builds and workflows
  • Practical understanding of how Git functions
  • Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting
  • Proficiency interfacing to REST APIs
  • Previous experience working with/within Agile development teams
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong debugging/problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience with Infrastructure/Configuration as Code (IaC/CaC) is a plus
  • Experience with Authentication/Authorization technologies (cookies, SSO, SAML, LDAP) is a plus
