Job description
Procare Therapy is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher in the East Saint Louis, IL area to work with Elementary grade students for the remainder of this school year and during the 2023-2024 school year. The position will be a co-teaching position or a push-in, and more information about the position will be provided during the interview.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Elementary grade students in a co-teaching position or a push-in
- Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to meet each student's needs
- Assess students' progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to provide a comprehensive educational program for each student
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid state teaching license in Special Education
- Prior experience working with Elementary grade students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff
Salary: Range pending experience, credentials, and budget
