Here at Hall Street Bakery, little sister to the beloved Wealthy Street Bakery, we pride ourselves on being a 100% from scratch kitchen. Our pastries and breads are made fresh daily to ensure the highest quality product for our customers and wholesale accounts. The 1st Shift Pastry Assistants are responsible for making the pastry and bread doughs, then shaping them to beautiful perfection.

This position requires the following:

-Each team member bakes the breads and pastries for our Hall Street location one assigned day per week. This is a requirement for ALL 1st shift pastry assistants. The open position is for Saturday bakes, 3:00am-11:00am. Serious candidates must have this availability and be ready to train the first week of hire. After training, this position will carry the schedule of Tuesday-Saturday, Sundays and Mondays off.

-Past experience in a professional kitchen/bakery preferred. We offer extensive training regardless of experience level.

-The ability to stand and work for 7+ hours, 5 days/week.

-The ability to operate machinery such as mixers, dough sheeter, industrial ovens, and kitchen scales.

-Basic recipe reading skills.

-Food Sanitation knowledge.

-An eye for detail.

-The ability to communicate clearly with peers and management.

-Dependable and able to come in everyday, on time, ready to get the job done.
