Water Resources Trades Associate I $33,132 - $37,688
Water Resources Trades Associate II $39,107 - $44,973
Water Resources Trades Associate III $46,341 - $53,292

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This class is responsible for having specialized knowledge in area of assignment, researching problems, providing customer service, and maintaining work reports. This is a field customer service position and duties in this category may include operation of various complex vehicles and equipment and performing associated duties in the construction, repair and maintenance of public utilities, water mains, service lines, fire hydrants, meters and valves.

The Water Resources Trades Associate I class is responsible for assisting with daily maintenance and repair of water distribution and collection lines. This position is a Grade A12(3).

The Water Resources Trades Associate II class is responsible for having specialized knowledge in area of assignment, researching problems, and maintaining work reports. This position is a Grade B21(3).

The Water Resources Trades Associate III class is responsible for serving as a lead to lower staff and is proficient in most areas of assignment; some positions may supervise limited staff or serve as a lead worker in the absence of the supervisor. This position is a Grade B23(3).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:
Water Resources Trades Associate I
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.;
  • or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above;
  • Valid Driver's License;
  • Georgia Commercial Driver's License must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
Water Resources Trades Associate II
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.;
  • Valid Driver's License;
  • Two years of related work experience;
  • or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above;
  • Georgia Commercial Driver's License must be obtained within 12 months of employment;
  • Confined Space Certification must be obtained within 6 months.
This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Gwinnett County Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace.

Water Resources Trades Associate III
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid Driver's License from state of residency
  • Four years of related work experience
  • or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
  • Georgia Commercial Driver's License must be obtained within 12 months of employment
  • Confined Space Certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment
