Interstate Batteries of Ft. Lauderdale is looking to fill an opening in our warehouse team.
A warehouse Associate is tasked with:
- Helping to load and unload the route trucks at the beginning and end of the day
- Maintain an well-stocked and organized warehouse
- Evaluate and charge batteries
- Fill out paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Quickly and accurately identify inventory by group size, date, product line and type
- Work fast and effectively as each workstation depends on product prepared from another station
- Safely use a forklift to move pallets of batteries on and off the racks
- Constantly being aware of the warranty cut-off dates of several product lines
- The ability to multi-task and work fast from the start of the day to the end of the day
- Must be physically-able to safely pickup and move 200+ batteries daily weighing 36-133lbs each by hand

Our Warehouse Associates are trained by senior management with hands-on experience. You must be able to work fast while maintaining a keen eye on quality of the work you are performing.

Base Pay- $33,600
Benefits- Health plan/ Life insurance/ Dental plan
Employee Type- Full-time Mon-Thurs 7:00A-6:00P and Fri 7:00am-5:00pm
There is room for advancement

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (absolutely NO exceptions)-
Education- G.E.D or higher
Experience- 1-Year Sit-Down Forklift
Must have a stable work history
Must have 1-year minimum previous warehouse (not stockroom) experience
Must be able to pass a drug test prior to initial hire and possibly randomly during employment
Must have a COMPLETELY CLEAN criminal record (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must be DEPENDABLE
Must be fluent in English (Bilingual is a plus, but English is the priority)
