We’re looking for the candidate who will:

  • Be a business development professional with a solid sales acumen who will bring to the table a winning attitude.
  • Grow MarketCast’s portfolio through strategic business development - obtaining new clients, increasing the size of existing accounts, and bringing in your own clients.
  • Thoughtfully identify potential clients through diligent research, trend analysis, and industry networking.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the marketing and research teams to access senior-level decision-makers at target companies.
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of MarketCast’s current projects, products, and services.
  • Seamlessly sell projects across all of our capabilities showcasing MarketCast expertise building holistic solutions for clients.
  • Strategically manage existing accounts and proactively consult with clients to identify new areas of opportunities and pair MarketCast capabilities accordingly.
  • Develop strong POVs and marketing content for the Retail & QSR landscape, focusing on staying abreast of industry trends becoming a thought leader amongst current and new clients.
  • Lead innovative and strategic initiatives, projects, and workflows, as needed.

It’ll be helpful if:

  • You possess minimum 10 years of experience selling data, research, insights, consultative solutions offerings to enterprise size companies (B2B).

Per the pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000. As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skill-set, and any other factors MarketCast considers relevant to the hiring decision. We’re looking for someone who will:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan that will grow our company’s foray in RETAIL & RESTAURANTS through new business development, across existing and new clients. This role will report into the Corporate SVP & General Manager, Commercial Leader of Sports, Lifestyle, Auto & Brands and will be working with either the advertising, marketing, research, or propduct innovation departments, as well as agencies who work with brand decision makers in that space.
  • Foster strong C-Suite client engagement to position MarketCast as a leader in research innovation and insights, and expand the slate of client stakeholder groups.
  • Achieve set financial targets, within the first 12 months.
  • Strategically identify potential clients and sub-industries through diligent research, trend analysis and industry networking and then work closely and collaboratively with team MarketCast to leverage existing relationships to access senior level decision makers
  • Lead the strategy, crafting, and presentation of MarketCast capabilities either in response to RFPs and/or as a proactive sales and marketing strategy; while still having the ability to independently create detailed proposals.
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of MarketCast’s current projects, products, and services; highlight and showcase MarketCast portfolio of project work in corporate/brand projects
  • Consult with corporate clients to identify new potential MarketCast service opportunities and/or product offerings

It’ll be helpful if you:

  • Come to work every day excited to play a major role in building a passionate business for sales, for people, and for helping MarketCast achieve its potential
  • Have 20+ years of experience working in the RETAIL & RESTAURANTS industries, in a sales or account management role at a growing company, with direct experience selling primary research, advertising solutions, data science and advanced analytics offerings
  • Successful track record supporting client relationships through effective partnerships with internal and external client teams; working in a highly matrixed environment is essential
  • Have experience working in delivering research insights; including but not limited to qualitative and quantitative research. Likewise, have experience in a commercial role successfully selling said services.
  • Realize that the devil is in the details, but not lose sight of the big picture
  • Have an understanding and passion for using research to solve complex problems
  • A knack for the Socratic approach, questioning what is said in order to understand root cause. A keen listener with a consultative mind-set.
  • Have a solid existing client network to immediately support the company’s expansion into new client accounts, on day 1.
  • Have a positive attitude towards change and recognizes that such occurrences are inevitable and through change comes opportunities for development and growth.
  • Have a proven history of strong professional growth, leadership and mentorship, including an exceptional track record in client management and growth
  • Embrace goal setting and exceeding targets.
