AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Tool & Die Supervisor to join our team in Beloit, KS.

Provide leadership and support to ensure this department has a broad knowledge of multiple machines use to have the skill set to build/retool parts for use on the main production floor. T&D employees interface with all departments to meet the manufacturing needs. This includes rework of existing tooling and construction of new tooling that improves ease of use, ergonomics and facilitates error proofing (Poke-Yoke), to reduce costs, and to eliminate quality defects.


  • Meet and exceed delivery expectations of material from the warehouse to assigned areas.

  • Direct and promote a work environment of continuous improvement through proactive process improvement.

  • Promote a team environment through effective communication and delegation.

  • Proactively engage the support of indirect support personnel to achieve departmental and business objectives.

  • To foster an environment of learning through effective cross training of assigned employees.

  • Expected to develop and maintain required relationships with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Human Resources, Engineering, Production Control, Shipping, and other areas as required meeting targeted business goals and objectives.

  • Ensure skill training matrixes are in place, train new hires and manage training

  • Employee/ situation investigation

  • Standard work documentation

  • Execute to daily, weekly, monthly, schedule/ plan/ schedule attainment

  • Meet daily cell goals (5s, Safety, Quality, Maintain, hourly metrics boards)

  • Daily start up checks

  • Daily Departmental KPI’s

  • 85% time on the warehouse floor

  • Minimum Qualifications Required


    • Intermediate to advanced proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite software especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Strong leader and excellent communicator

    • 2+ years of progressively responsible or related experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • Solid grasp of manufacturing concepts, methods, and manufacturing techniques to include but not limited to: Assembly, welding, machining, painting, and other related manufacturing methods.

    • Prior experience in lean, flow-through manufacturing a plus.

    • Knowledge in use of SAP or other related ERP application software preferred.

    • Basic understanding of production planning and production control functions.

    • Exceptional influencing and communication skills with ability to communicate at all management levels.

    • Demonstrated ability to think conceptually with a real commitment to change and continuous improvement.

    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to develop improved manufacturing strategies that will support AGCO business objectives on a departmental and building wide basis.

    • Machine shop experience required.

    • Knowledge of weld and layout large frame jigs.

    • Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license.

    • Ability to read blueprints and drawings required, including welding & machining symbols.

    • Ability to use machine shop tools: Surface grinder, small hand tools, measuring devices, drill press, metal cutters, lathes & vertical mills both CNC and mechanical, cutting Torch, welding equipment, forklift, overhead hoist, testing equipment, heat treating ovens, layout tables.

    • Ability to lift 50 pounds without a hoist.

    • Ability to identify process problems and correct them with little or no guidance.

    • Experience with technical related software 2D drafting and 3D solid modeling Pro/E preferred.

    • CNC machine tool programming experience preferred.
