Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Test Engineer to join our team at Laughlin AFB and maintain the configuration management process using tools such as Microsoft's Intune, while also communicating effectively with teams across multiple geographic locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing and quality assurance, as well as experience with managing configuration management tools and working with distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with cross-functional teams across multiple geographic locations to define and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for new and existing software applications
- Design and develop automated tests for system configuration and updates
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that software releases are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards
- Utilize configuration management tools such as Microsoft's Intune to manage device configuration, application deployment, and updates
- Communicate effectively with distributed teams to ensure that testing activities are coordinated and aligned with project goals
- Create and maintain documentation related to configuration management processes and procedures, such as CCB
- Monitor systems and identify issues related to configuration management, and collaborate with the appropriate teams to resolve them
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools related to configuration management and recommend improvements to existing processes
- Ensure compliance with DISA security and DOD regulatory requirements related to configuration management
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT testing and quality assurance
- Security+ Certification
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Microsoft's Intune, SCCM or any other MDM tool
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience communicating with teams across multiple geographic locations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Device Management certification (MS-101T03)
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- DOD/Veteran Background
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services such as GCP or AWS
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible
