Business Essentials, a leader in the office supply and furniture business in the Twin Cities is in search of a FULL TIME TEMPORARY ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST to work this summer, approximately June 1 through Labor Day to cover an employee's leave of absence. This position is full-time, non-benefit eligible, working Monday - Friday in our Fridley office. Business Essentials part of the Federation Division of Office Depot, our parent company.

This person will process accounts payable transactions including maintaining records, verifying invoices and reconciling invoice amounts to purchase orders and/or contract pricing agreements, compute discounts, code expenses, and prepare vouchers for payment. They will also be responsible for cutting checks each week. In addition, this position will bill customers for directly shipped items from the vendor to the client.

Requirements:

This position needs a self motivator, someone who works well with little or no supervision. They need to have previous experience in accounting, preferably in the distribution sector. They need strong MS Office skills including Excel Spreadsheets, be attentive to detail, work in a fast paced environment, and willing to learn.
