A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A TELEPHONE OPERATOR

The Telephone Operator, in many cases, is a first point of contact for potential customers, and an important point of contact for existing customers. It is critical that the first impression our customers receive is warm and welcoming. Hearing a smile through the phone with an upbeat and positive tone is imperative to the success of each and every one of our many calls. The common courtesies of hello, please, thank you, my pleasure, and goodbye are essential phrases for this position.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes.
• Answer all incoming telephone call in a professional and polite manner.
• Communicate clearly and concisely to the other party.
• Redirect and divert calls to appropriate parties or offices.
• Relay information as quickly and as accurately as possible
• Provide directory assistance.
• Give polite assistance to callers and give best services.
