Mitchell Plastics in Sterling Heights is looking for motivated candidates to join our IT Team as an IT Technical Support – Sequencing Specialist.
Duties of the IT Specialist:
- Provides on-sit support to the clients in production and office environment
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance. and expansion of corporate hardware and software, including purchase recommendations and installations. Hardware support includes computers, netbooks, scanners, smart phones,photocopiers, and label printers.
- Supports production by ensuring continuous flow of broadcast data and up-time on sequencing software and stations.
- Follow internal processes for troubleshooting issues and escalation.
- Write knowledgebase articles based on issue resolution; support information sharing
- Assists in LAN installations, maintenance of hardware and print operations
- Completes preventative maintenance on IT systems and maintains record of activity
- Maybe required to work off hours or rotate shifts
Thorough understanding and knowledge of PC components and their interface requirements. A+ certification preferred.
High School Diploma Required; Technical degree preferred
Experience in LAN topology and setup
Problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Strong customer service skills
Strong hands-on technical experience with computers to support fast issue resolution.
Experience with sequencing software preferred
Manufacturing work experience preferred
