DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Taxpayer Services and Information Trainee, you will provide customer service assistance to taxpayers and tax preparers ranging from person income taxes to business taxes.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
    • 6-month probation must be passed before position becomes telework eligible.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two (2) years of experience in the delivery of technical services and assistance to taxpayers or customers that involved the application of tax laws, rules, regulations, and procedures, and which included or was supplemented by one (1) year of direct public contact work; or
  • An associate degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirement:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
