STATUS: Full Time; 37.5 hours / week
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday; daylight hours; occasional evenings and weekends; flexibility required

Partners For Quality Inc. (PFQ) is a private, non-profit organization based in Robinson Township. Partners For Quality provides administrative management to five subsidiary organizations that support local individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. PFQ’s management services include Fiscal (including payroll), HR, IT and Communications – thus allowing subsidiaries to focus on their day-to-day priorities. Our subsidiaries include Allegheny Children’s Initiative, Citizen Care, Exceptional Adventures, Milestone Centers and the Partners For Quality Foundation. Through these subsidiaries, we provide community-based supports and services to 5,000 adults and children with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health challenges in Allegheny County.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible to the Director of Corporate Learning for the coordination, implementation and evaluation of orientation, training, inservice and record keeping functions of Human Resources within designated subsidiaries. All responsibilities shall be completed in a manner consistent with the Vision, Mission and Values of PFQ with performance measured by the realization of each consumer's hopes and dreams. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct orientation and training for new employees including one-to-two-week orientation and training programs
  • Implement, coordinate, and evaluate ongoing in-service training programs as mandated by Regulations, Departmental policies and procedures, State Regulations, Accreditations, Certifications and corporate needs
  • Planning and designing training activities for new hires as well as veteran staff
  • Obtain and maintain trainer status in the areas of Medication Administration, CPR, First Aid, and other certifications as required or assigned
  • Assist employees in the process of improving or enhancing existing skills
  • Maintain correct and accurate training records
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement efforts
  • Assuring the Human Resources Department is responsive to the needs of agency employees
  • Displaying teamwork and cooperation in dealing with management, others within the agency, and external stakeholders
  • Collect feedback from employees regarding the effectiveness of training programs
  • Coordinate and implement remedial training in identified skilled deficits for staff
  • Other related duties as may be required
  • Understanding of and compliance with all PFQ Policies and Procedures
