Position Overview

As Sustainability Services Manager, you will report to the Chief Sustainability Officer, and you will work closely and cross-functionally across the entire organization. You will directly support Rubicon Carbon's work with prospective and current customers, clients, and stakeholders, by helping them to understand and navigate the decarbonization space. You will support our partners and customers as they seek to engage in creation of their own forward supply of credits to bring to market, and will be involved at the ground floor in steering and implementing Rubicon Carbon's growing decarbonization business.

The ideal candidate has worked directly to support corporate decarbonization efforts, either in-house or in a client-facing support role, and has experience developing and implementing carbon neutral and net-zero commitments in the private sector. Experience with carbon markets is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct desktop research on potential customers' decarbonization objectives to assist the sales team with prioritizing customer outreach
  • Support sales team engagements with prospective customers to assist with understanding how Rubicon Carbon's offerings might fit within their specific corporate decarbonization strategy
  • Work with customers to help them determine the need for carbon credits by estimating and projecting Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
  • Work with partners to help them understand how their particular technologies and solutions might be brought to market in the form of carbon credits for sale on the Rubicon Carbon platform
  • Create sales and marketing collateral to support customer engagement
  • Develop relationships with external service providers in order to support customers in implementing their specific decarbonization objectives

Experience

  • 5+ years of work experience in corporate decarbonization, technical or engineering experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 inventory methodologies; direct experience with applying the WRI GHG Protocol is a plus
  • Familiarity with the range of possible supply chain corporate decarbonization strategies, including power purchase agreements, fuel switching, supplier engagement and the like
  • Curious and analytical mindset
  • Solid knowledge of analytics and research methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Inclusive teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Passion around corporate decarbonization, climate change, carbon markets, and sustainability

Compensation:

The national market salary range for this role is $100,000 to $175,000. Our approach to compensation consists of starting with market data +/- relevant experience. We take a holistic 'Total Rewards' approach to compensation (cash + long term incentive + excellent benefits package).
