Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Provides technical assistance on the core data processing system including communicating issues, fixes, or updated procedures to staff.
  • Monitors and works the ticketing system with our third-party vendor and makes system updates/modifications for the Credit Union's core data processing systems.
  • Has a thorough understanding of all processes related to the core including but not limited to; ACH, Share Drafts, reporting functionality, and core modules for opening accounts, applying for loans, or collecting on accounts.
  • Researches, modifies, tests, and trains on system enhancements, additions or replacements.
  • Participates in all projects related to the core including those in relation to third party vendors.
  • Recommends policies and procedures regarding system utilization.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements

  • Maintains a solid understanding of PC's and the core data processing system.
  • Monitors and makes the required updates and modifications to keep the Credit Union's core system current.
  • Obtains good technical troubleshooting skills and a moderate ability to grasp the more technical aspects of networks and systems.
  • Provides accurate and prompt support to coworkers in a respectful manner.
  • Maintains a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere to all users.
  • Solves problems utilizing critical thinking skills including, collecting data, asking questions, and analyzing possible solutions.
  • Keeps management informed of key operation issues affecting the department.
  • Assists and completes projects in a timely manner.
  • Communicates issues or enhancements to staff in a detailed and timely manner.
  • Trains staff on procedures and products in an effective and timely manner.
Requirements:

Minimum Requirements

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • An Associates degree or core software experience, ie Symitar.
  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other data communication.
  • Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must meet requirements set forth in the telecommuting program policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MeridianLink or other similar platforms desired.
