Job Title: Supply Chain Loss Prevention Manager

Reports to: Director of Loss Prevention Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all activities within the scope of Loss Prevention and Safety at the Distribution Center facilities.
  • Manage the Loss Prevention and Safety audits both inside and outside of the facility.
  • Serve as a partner in the area of operational processes and inventory to reduce shrink.
  • Develop standards for security operations in conjunction with Supply Chain Loss Prevention Manager and building leadership.
  • Manage and oversight of the Loss Prevention staff.
  • Conduct security training including visitor access, metal detector policies and power equipment.
  • Conduct daily “pass down” briefing with the Loss Prevention and DC staff.
  • Manage Truck Gate activity/incidents and maintain accuracy in the YMS system.
  • Manage and oversight of CCTV systems. Use CCTV system to monitor facility for LP and Safety compliance.
  • Conduct internal investigations in support of corporate Loss Prevention direction.
  • Manage the daily safety inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions in Think LP.
  • Maintain all site-required documentation related to safety issues, i.e., accident reports, inspection reports, training logs and document these in Think LP.
  • Manage the initial incident/accident documentation. Forward to appropriate individuals (Supply Chain Loss Prevention and Safety Manager & Supply Chain HR Manager) for follow up investigation and action.
  • Conducts safety training and meetings to educate employees on recognizing and controlling workplace hazards.
  • Transact, audit and support Transportation team with trailer yard activities. Assist with Transportation team to give access to driver’s when needed. Maintain yard audits in Think LP.
  • Facilitate Loss Prevention portion of new employee orientation when needed.
  • Manage the ID badges for Supply Chain team members.
  • Manage the processes for store shrinkage reduction programs for shoes and rugs.
  • Manage the Loss Prevention team and the Supply Chain team members to collect and process the hazardous materials according to company’s SOP.
  • Respond to accidents and assist operations with investigations, first-aid, questions, etc.
  • Consistently lead by example; demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, professional maturity, and dependability.
  • Manage and develop the exception reporting for the stores. Communicate the reports to the RLPM’s, DL’s, SL’s and Store Operations.
  • Manage and develop the Think LP Software for the DC. Provide support to the field teams.
  • Assist with the S.T.A.R.S. awareness program. Create and distribute the monthly newsletter and all other supporting posters, signs, etc. Including the development of the 800 number reporting platforms.

  • Assist in the development of the SOP’s with our retail partners. Ensure all updated SOP’s are
placed on the Wiki site, dated and remove outdated materials.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned and by the Director of Loss Prevention.
Job Specifications and Qualifications

  • College degree preferred and five years’ experience in retail loss prevention, including two
years’ experience in loss prevention management or related management experience.

  • Supply Chain Facility experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of loss prevention, security and risk management concepts a plus
  • Proven reliability and strong attendance record.
  • Ability to effectively give and receive instructions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with associates at various levels within the company.
  • Self-motivated to work individually or in a team.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills. Attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a Distribution Center environment with a variation of temperatures.
  • Ability to work with the LP team on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
