Now, About This Job

The Success Coaches (Case Managers) will be assigned to a middle or high school and serve as a liaison and advocate for the families assigned to them. The Success Coach will have a caseload that shall not exceed a 35:1 ratio. Success Coaches will be responsible for identifying strengths, needs and risks of the participants and their families in order to develop short- and long-term goals. Following goal development, the Success Coach will lead participants through the process of creating an Individualized Service Plan and a Family Service Plan to help ensure that all the resources, services and activities participants need to succeed will be part of their experience. HUF will take an innovative two-generation approach to include Parent Engagement, Economic Development, Educational Workshops and Civic Engagement to assist those families in order to achieve self-sufficiency by providing services, training and educational opportunities to parents to parallel and mirror the enrichment and educational offerings their children access through participation in the U4T program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field)
  • Professional case management experience working with youth and/or families.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole required
  • Knowledge of the local community and social services available in Broward County.
  • Good written, organizational, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive attitude, and experience handling sensitive and confidential information with maximum discretion.
  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License and car insurance is required.

The annual salary for this non-exempt, full-time position is $45,000.00. A generous benefits package includes health insurance, vacation, sick, personal time, and paid holidays.
