Essential Functions:
  • Prepare and post journal entries for assigned accounts. Attach appropriate support for the journal entry and sign off on all journal entries when complete.
  • Accrue appropriate expenses for all assigned accounts.
  • Calculate and accrue appropriate incentive expense for assigned service lines.
  • Compare and analyze accrued incentives to actual incentives paid in the month of payment.
  • Adjust incentives worksheets for any changes in incentive plans for assigned service lines as needed.
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis on assigned service lines. Communicate variances found to appropriate individuals.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments as well as outside vendors, consultants, etc.
  • Respond appropriately and timely on all financial statement questions.
  • Reconcile all assigned balance sheet accounts within the designated timeframe. Maintain appropriate support for all balances.
  • Prepare monthly JV packets on assigned locations.
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of one year of accounting experience; healthcare experience preferred.
  • Must be highly skilled in use of Excel.
  • Must possess high attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Must possess excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • Must possess good communication skills and be able to work within a collaborative team environment.
