This is an in-office/hybrid (from our location in Walnut Creek, CA), or remote position (anywhere in California).

MEV is a software development company headquartered in the Bay Area with development centers in Poland and Ukraine. We are looking for a part-time (20 hours per week) Staff Accountant to take over the full set of accounting activities for our US operations.

Job Types: Part-time(20 hours per week), W2

Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible hours but on agreed-upon schedule

Responsibilities:

• Full cycle of bookkeeping;
• AP/AR;
• Month end close;
• Standardized and custom financial reports preparation including forecasting;
• Budget update and management;
• Compliance filings with state/federal agencies.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in accounting/finance role, or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years of relevant experience;
• Excellent Excel/Google Sheets and QuickBooks Online knowledge;
• Diligent and detail-oriented;
• Ability to own areas of responsibility (i.e. no expectation of micromanagement);
• Working knowledge of modern online collaboration tools and practices;
• Good written & verbal communication skills;
• Experience in B2B companies will be a plus;
• Experience in international accounting will be a plus.
