Job Summary

Legal representative and top executive manager for the defined plant with full P&L responsibility. Ensures the highest plant efficiency in material flow, processes, quality, delivery and lean management, meeting the operating plant targets and production schedules. Works seamlessly with other functional areas. Supports the matrix organization and leads by example.

Tasks

  • Responsible for the entire operations of a manufacturing plant, this includes the management and coordination of daily activities to ensure high performance and production at all times
  • Propose and after acceptance, ensure appropriate execution of the yearly business plan and cost budget
  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to achieve customer quality and delivery requirements as well as company financial performance
  • Build a highly motivated, strong and capable factory management team – including Operations Manager, Quality Manager, Engineering Manager and MP&L Manager
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
  • Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Implement plant strategies in alignment with strategic corporate initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Communication with the company’s business planning, sales, program management, purchasing and other functions
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
  • Responsible for quality performance including scrap reduction
  • Headcount planning, participation in selection, integration, maintaining motivation of individuals and groups, handling disciplinary matters
  • Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop the plant staff.
  • Implement and develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • University degree in business management, engineering, or related fields. MBA degree is a plus.
  • Extensive business management experience
  • 15+ years’ experience in production environment with at least 10 years’ complex plant management / production management experience at a manufacturing company in the automotive sector supplying directly to OEM
  • Deep understanding of production, manufacturing, and logistics environments
  • Management of various production related projects – factory optimization, production line installations, layout planning, etc.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements for operating plants
  • Ability to manage stress in difficult circumstances and tight deadlines
  • Resilience and passion in daily work life
  • Result oriented and proactive attitude, characterized by deep business ethics, integrity and accountability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
