Job Description Summary

The Sr Manager, Sales and Operations Planning, will lead the end-to-end planning process improvement and implementation throughout the Business Unit Product Platforms including balancing demand, supply, inventory, and working capital. The Sr S&OP Manager will formalize and expand the S&OE process throughout the business units to link demand and supply to execution. The Sr S&OP Manager will champion the end-to-end Planning Process by enabling a global S&OP process supporting demand planning, supply planning, and consensus alignment. The Sr S&OP Manager’s responsibility will include driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the end-to-end supply chain that enables capacity, optimizes inventory, and delivers customer service. This Sr Manager will drive a culture of change and continuous improvement through performance measures, collaboration, and feedback throughout the Supply Chain Process. The Sr S&OP Manager works across silos with associates from different functional areas to communicate shared goals, gather information, and gain consensus.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the end-to-end planning process for BU product platforms by driving the S&OP process, including demand planning, supply planning, consensus, ES&OP and facilitates S&OP meetings with cross functional partners

  • Serves as S&OP SME for supply chain planning while supporting network and inventory optimization, new product launches, and product lifecycle management

  • Leads all Weekly S&OE activities for BU product categories

  • Analyzes recommends, and implements supply chain solutions to ensure optimal supply chain execution with product available to deliver the aligned demand plan to our customers

  • Drives S&OE and S&OP actions that will resolve demand – supply challenges that yield inventory improvement measures which positively support the entire S&OP process

  • Teams with Global Cross Functional Partners, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Operations, Finance to align commercial requirements and financial requirements with operations capabilities and requirements

  • Leads root cause analysis and process improvement solutions to increase global demand forecast accuracy and reduce global forecast bias

  • Develops models to optimize inventory planning parameters – such as safety stock – without negatively affecting customer service

  • Delivers the expansion and continuous improvement of S&OE and S&OP with the cross-functional partners to improve end-to-end visibility and mitigate risks

  • Ensures all Planning Parameters and Master Data are aligned to Planning and Inventory Strategies

Collaboration

  • Collaborates with cross functional partners in Region, Planning, Operations, Procurement and Business to optimize the planning process within each partner’s area

  • Works collaboratively with cross functional partners to lead and deliver key projects in support of S&OE and S&OP which will minimize inventory investment, maximize customer growth opportunities, and drive supply chain optimization

  • Coordinates, facilitates, and documents scheduled planning meeting actions and output

Performance Tracking and Management

  • Measures controls, and improves S&OP plan accuracy through clear, defined metrics

  • Presents and manages key performance metrics to provide root cause analysis and recommendations for performance improvement that represent a meaningful business impact analysis

Communication

  • Delivers Communication that is clear, direct, and fact based

  • Turns data into information to drive decision making and action

  • Prepares Executive Level presentations in support of S&OP

Innovation

  • Explores and Implements potential innovative opportunities:

    • Automation of data collection

    • Performance management, reporting automation, and digitization leveraging technology to move away from manual xls spreadsheet process

    • Standardize metrics dashboard

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Operations preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain (Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Materials Management, Master Planning, Scheduling, Lifecycle management)
  • Strong Working knowledge of S&OE and S&OP with implementation experience
  • Extensive experience with Statistical Forecasting Tools and Advanced Planning Systems Software
  • Action oriented, results driven with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time
  • APICS and/or IBF certification (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
