Sr. Director, Sustainability Communications
Job description
This is a globally focused role that is responsible for leading a team and delivering all aspects of the company’s sustainability communications, including the annual sustainability report, investor events, corporate sustainability rankings and compliance with global regulatory requirements. The role includes proactive communications around our sustainability strategy, both externally and internally. Sustainability includes diversity, equity and inclusion, with a sub-focus on employees and their voice in the company. This role works with the company’s most senior executives on some of our highest-profile issues in the sustainability space. The role requires knowledge of media, employee interests and very strong communications skills.
What You’ll Do for Us
Lead a team of four, including several experienced communicators.
Lead sustainability communications, including our annual business and sustainability report and proactive social media.
Lead our compliance with global regulatory issues involving sustainability communications, including oversight of field communications and collaboration with colleagues in finance and legal.
Lead our sustainability-related communications strategy and execution for top leaders.
Lead our efforts to understand employee interests, concerns and issues.
Lead our communications efforts around diversity, equity and inclusion, in partnership with the People function.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
10+ years of relevant experience in sustainability and communications
Strong verbal and written communications
Sustainability knowledge and business acumen
Ability to develop and execute complex communications strategies
Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, capable of leading with empathy and strong influencing skills
