Green Hills AEA currently recruiting for a Substitute Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to cover leaves for the Green Hills/Council Bluffs Area.Green Hills AEA offers a Competive salary.
Carry out individual programs developed by the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Essential Functions
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, schools and staff members
Follow treatment plans or protocols developed by the SLP
Document and maintain student progress records
Communicate and plan with SLP
File reports in student folders
Work with the SLP in assembling and preparing instructional materials relevant to therapy
Conduct skill-building activities with students
Conduct classroom observation (from SLP prepared checklist)
Know and understand goals for each student for whom they have responsibility
Work with SLP to schedule students for therapy
Keep supervision SLP informed regarding student progress
Attend staffings of students with whom they work
Maintain confidentiality with regard to student records and information
Deal effectively with supervisor
Manage time efficiently
