We are currently looking for a Per Diem Compassionate (MSW) Social Worker to provide hospice social services in and around Atlantic County! Our Medical Social Workers (MSW) are responsible for the delivery of various social work services to hospice patients and their families. Our Medical Social Workers (MSW) provide social service counseling and guidance to facilitate the maximum functioning and coping capacity to each patient and caregiver/family member.
Qualifications:
- Masters of Social Work from an accredited school of social work
- Licensed Social Worker in the state of New Jersey
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a social worked in long term care or medical surgical/acute care setting.
- One (1) year of hospice experience preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and travel between offices, facilities, etc.
- Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including background in EMR.
- Must have ability to handle stress associated with ministering to patients/residents and their loved ones who experience pain, suffering, death and grief.
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification.
- CMS requires that all patient-facing staff, as well as those that are in contact with patient-facing staff, be fully vaccinated, or have a documented religious or medical exemption. This important rule is required for all healthcare organizations that receive federal funds through Medicare or Medicaid.
