We are looking to hire (1) Shipping Tech Immediately.

At Wing Inflatables we have dedicated ourselves over the past 30 years to giving rescue workers, the coast guard, Navy SEALs, river rafting guides, and kayakers, the confidence to stay safe while performing with lightweight speed and agility on the water.

About the Position:

We are looking for someone who preferably has experience in a shipping or receiving warehouse, is reliable, has good transportation, and loves to work. In this role, you will ensure that only the intended goods get delivered into and shipped out of the warehouse. You will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and carefully handle Hazard Material shipments, global shipments and more. Must be willing to become forklift certified and follow safety protocol as well as be trained on Hazardous Materials shipping and various shipping software.

• Must be able to interact with various database computer programs (FedEx Ship Manager); use excel and word documents with minimal training.
• Must be able to read and understand Bills of materials, production worksheets, Bill of Ladings, Packing Slips and Commercial Invoices.
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions, and use math skills.
• Responsible for arrangement, upkeep of shipping area.
• Ability to carry out detailed instructions, apply common sense, and deal with issues timely.
• Strong, professional work ethic, deadline driven and quality conscious.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/carry unassisted up to 50lbs.
• Ability to push/pull up to 100lbs.
• Frequently bend, stoop, twist, and crawl.
• Ability to operate forklift.
• Consistently working at a computer station.

Work Environment:

• Consistently work in an environment that has chemicals. (Building has proper ventilation.)
• Respirators are provided as you will be working with different chemicals.
• We follow OSHA safety protocols, clean our facility daily and provide hand sanitizers and masks if needed. We do not require masks and vaccinations are strongly encouraged. We provide paid time off to vaccinate and we are a testing site.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Proficiency working on computers
• Must have a valid CA driver’s license within 3 months of hire.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• At least one year of recent and consistent work history.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment respiratory health questionnaire.
• Relevant work experience in a shipping department
• Verifiable experience with computers

Hours of Operation:

• Work hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 4:35 p.m.
• Monday-Friday, available overtime!
• This position is full-time.
• Located at 1220 5th Street, Arcata, CA.
