Sunstream is looking for an experienced Service Technician to support the success of our PNW Territory and ensure that our local customer support activities are best-in-class and represent our high-end, high-quality brand.

Service Technician Qualifications:

  • High degree of mechanical aptitude and hands-on product troubleshooting experience
  • Experience managing installation or service teams in a related industry
  • History of working in a highly customer-focused environment
  • Experience working with crew scheduling programs
  • Experience working with a small to medium sized business environment
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Adaptability: ability to thrive in a rapidly shifting business landscape and remain flexible and open to new ideas.

Service Technician Primary Responsibilities:

  • Service technician will be an integral part of a local service team serve as a point person for local Service work and Sunstream Projects
  • Primarily in Lake WA, Lake Sammamish, Black Diamond, Gig Harbor, Mason lake and lifts sold throughout the Kitsap Peninsula.
  • Evaluate, diagnose and address maintenance issues pertaining to SunLifts (including SLX), FloatLifts and Sunstream Accessories
  • Use Jobber Software to manage and set appointments
  • Perform lift inspections and in-water work (with full crew of 2-3)
  • Compile and communicate field-related product quality issues and improvement ideas to product teams

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Create and disseminate customer technical troubleshooting tools
  • Provide technical product training to dealers
  • Support local engineering projects when applicable
  • Provide first-tier technical and commercial telephone and e-mail support when not in the field

Service Technician Responsibilities as necessary (as they apply to day-to-day):

  • Service Work scope evaluation, research and problem-solving.
  • Weekends & travel may be necessary in rare cases, but will be given ample notice
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions

Service Technician Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will enjoy working in small teams, be mechanically inclined and organized, have no problem working independently from a service schedule and will enjoy creative problem-solving & project multi-tasking in a marine, sometimes in-water working environment. A passion for quality and customer satisfaction is a must!

Mechanical and/or Marine work environment experience is preferred. Diving experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
