ssential Functions and Objectives:

Leads vision for the development and training of current and aspiring principals and assistant principals. Ensures coherence, coordination, and alignment with district priorities in the design and delivery of training opportunities. Engages in close partnership with network partners and teams in service of leader development. Executes functional or departmental plans and contributes to the development of functional or departmental strategies; provides input and advises others on strategy, outside of their function or department. Recommends innovation, significantly modifies and improves current policies and practices.

  • Collaborates respective teams to both influence and implement policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives that pertain to their functional unit. Set clear goals, organize work plans, and divide work accordingly. Develops resources, budgets, and schedules.
  • Solves for complex problems that impact broad segments of the district, including defining, tackling, and mitigating issues or situations.
  • Collaborates with other functions, peers, and teams. Gains credibility and cooperation across the organization. Conveys progress and goal results with upper management.
  • Collaborates with academic and network teams to ensure strong, aligned professional learning experiences for ILT members and teams focused on developing leaders of content in service of the best first instruction.
  • Leads the design, implementation, and delivery of the principal on-boarding system, alternative licensure, and the continuum of support for assistant principals aligned with the District's School Leadership Framework.
  • Executes a system of support for assistant principal and principal development across a career continuum aligned with our principal competencies and performance evaluation process.
  • Works with internal and external partners to enhance content and integrate the system of support for school leaders within the District, including mentoring systems.

K
nowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of Principal experience and a current Principal's license.
  • Two (2) plus years of management responsibility.
  • Work style that yields high results when working independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to foster effective relationships with district staff, schools, and external partners.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals, establish priorities, and organize resources.
  • Ability to multi-task without compromising integrity or fidelity.
  • Experience and proficiency with Google Suite products and/or Project Management Software.
  • Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.
  • Inspired, visionary who can foster/generate excitement, buy-in and understanding with colleagues and employees outside of the team.
  • High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

E
ducation Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Master’s degree in Education/Leadership (preferred).
