Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist various areas within the Accounting Department with emphasis on Financial Analysis, Cost Accounting, and Inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sales business unit financial analysis.
- Assist in preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including “Budget vs. Actual” variance reports. Assist in providing follow-up and documentation of significant variances.
- Assist with annual external audit. Complete requested materials. Assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit.
- Analyzes trends, costs, pricing, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses for various sales divisions, and special projects.
- Assist Cost Department, Forecast Department and oversee inventory management.
- Offers suggestions about resource utilizations, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
- Assist in pricing studies throughout the year
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3+ years of financial analysis experience AND/OR 3+ years of work experience in Corporate Accounting/Audit
- CPA Preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Understand and adhere to systems of internal control
