Responsibilities:
Position Summary

As the Security and Compliance Specialist, you will impact PSA Airlines’ growth by ensuring compliance with Pilot Records Information Act (PRIA) regulations and PSA’s drug and alcohol program as required by law and the Department of Transportation (DOT). You will help PSA to maintain safe conditions for our employees and customers.

Job Responsibilities


  • Process all PRIA paperwork in a timely and organized fashion.
  • Attend the weekly new hire orientation (NHO) as needed to review PRIA with new hires.
  • Organize and participate in annual PRIA audit.
  • Maintain accurate PRIA records, following PRIA guidelines.
  • Development of an effective process within Human Resources that ensures the appropriate, consistent and timely filing of PRIA requests and responses.
  • Liaison with other carriers in terms of PRIA responses and requests.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and retention of all PRIA documentation, as required by law.
  • Work with Human Resources to organize, verify and input new hire paperwork.
  • Review existing processes and develop improvement solutions.
  • Professionally receive incoming calls from employees and third parties.
  • Assist DOT Compliance Specialist in serving random drug test notifications.
  • Ensure DOT and Non-DOT paperwork is filled out correctly.
  • Schedule pre-employment and return to work DOT and Non-DOT testing.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Required
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as filing and typing, advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs
  • Two years of increasingly responsible clerical/office-related experience
  • High level of accuracy/detail orientation
  • Willingness to collect, handle, and process urine and breath specimens
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.

Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a safety, security, or aviation-related discipline or equivalent aviation industry work experience
  • At least two years of experience in aviation administration

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Security Clearance: All employees are required to pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49CFR1542.209 as well as a pre-employment drug screen.
