Position Role Type:

This is a multi-discipline, fast-paced Industrial Security position supporting DoD programs within Raytheon Intelligence & Space, located in Aurora CO. This position will require daily onsite support to facilitate DoD programs and team continuity.

The position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of DoD Collateral closed areas IAW 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM

  • Assist with administration of secured calls; update security personnel access lists and databases accordingly

  • Participate in peer and customer assessments, submission of all required reports and complete corrective actions related to assessments

  • Conduct and prepare administrative inquires related to possible security incidents/violations, document results; provide education and training to program personnel

  • Respond to security related matters, prepares, presents, records, disseminates, tracks, provides feedback and ensures closure of any security action items

  • Provides additional support for Personnel Security functions (e.g., eQIP submissions, fingerprinting, tracking, visits, indoctrination, debriefs, tracking initial and re-occurring training, perform various employee in-processing/out-processing security briefings/debriefings, etc.)

  • Support the primary COMSEC custodian with accountability, inventory, tracking, shipping, dispatch, and receipt of items

  • Conducts safe inspections, destruction, inventory, data entry and reconciliation

  • Review of classified documents to ensure appropriate markings have been applied prior to shipment of items

  • Accountability and shipment of classified items and any other duties as assigned.

  • This position is required to collaborate with program personnel, business partners and stakeholders and teammates.

  • Creates, maintains and leverages working relationships with internal and external customers, peers, and senior management to accomplish security objectives.

  • Utilizes excellent writing, organizational, communication, problem-solving skills and is detail oriented.

  • Possess the ability to communicate and interpret security guidance/policy requirements to internal audiences across all NISP security domains.

  • Remains current on 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM, CUI, NSA Manual 3-16, program Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Program Protection Plans (PPPs), Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD254s), contract Statement of Work (SOW) and related security guidance in support of assigned program(s).

  • Can work independently and within a team environment

  • Requires minimal supervision and can multi-task.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required as this position requires a minimum level of a SECRET security clearance issued by the federal government.

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Experience using MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Use tact, discretion, and diplomacy in dealing with all levels of employees and customers.

  • Ability to align, plan, schedule and execute activities to accomplish objectives.

  • Refined teaming skills and understanding of team concepts.

  • Willing to travel to support the business and program functions as needed by the customer (<10%)

  • Ability to bend and lift 15lbs or more with assistance.

Desired Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Security Management, Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or related field of study

  • Related training through the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE)

  • CDSE Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)

  • Industrial Security Professional (ISP®) certification

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Employee Referral Award Eligibility: Only employees currently within RMD and RI&S have the potential to receive a Referral Award for submitting a referral to RMD and RI&S roles. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the Referral Awarding.

The salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 124,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
