The Role – Seasonal Membership & Adoptions Assistant

The Membership & Adoptions team is responsible for the sale of memberships and adoptions and diligently dealing with all associated administration and queries.

As a Seasonal Membership & Adoptions Assistant you’ll sell memberships and adoptions face to face and over the phone and process the administration involved in the sale. You’ll check and secure cash taken through the till, monitor literature and stock and support customers while they’re queuing, to answer questions and offer advice.

The Package

• Temporary fixed term contract working from 18 February 2023 until 7 January 2024.
• 22.5 hours per week, working 6 days out of 14 (including weekends and bank holidays) on a rota basis between the hours of 9.00am and 6.30pm
• 33 days annual leave (pro rata)
• £12,274.23 from 01/01/2023 in line with the Zoo’s 2023 Pay Award. This is the equivalent of £10.49 per hour

Our Requirements – Seasonal Membership & Adoptions Assistant

• Sales and general administration experience, gained in a fast paced, customer service environment
• Good communication skills, confident to take membership details and payments over the telephone
• A good standard of education, including a GCSE (or equivalent) in maths and English
• Experience of using tills, including cash and credit card transactions
• Confident and experienced in Microsoft Office & databases
• Strong organisational skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy
