The Agnes Irwin School, an all-girls' Pre-K through 12th-grade independent school in the Philadelphia suburbs, is committed to fostering the intellectual and personal growth of girls and young women. The Agnes Irwin School is hiring a School Security Guard to join it's Security department. This purpose of this position is to help

maintain a safe and secure school environment. Candidates must be a team-oriented and service-centric professional who can operate and contribute to the school environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Patrol and monitor the campus to ensure the safety and well-being of students, faculty, staff, and visitors
• Assist with vehicular traffic flow during arrival and dismissal times
• Oversee rental and community groups using the facilities, ensuring the proper use of the building and designated spaces
• Assist in the general maintenance of the school facilities
• Drive school vehicles as necessary
• Assist with campus-wide emergency training and exercises

Successful applicants will posses:

• High school diploma or GED is required and 1 to 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• General maintenance skills
• Ability to interact with all members of the School community in a courteous, cooperative, and service-oriented manner
• Valid PA driver’s license is required
• Act 67 training preferred
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred
• Strong time management, communication and organizational skills
• A strong customer-service orientation
• Willingness and ability to work overtime including evenings, weekends and holidays
