Summary
The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible to maintain facility equipment and environmental hygiene by supervising the cleaning, sanitation & housekeeping activities of employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follows and enforces all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Follows and enforces all sanitation, food safety & quality policies and procedures to ensure consistent safe quality products to our customers and consumers (HACCP)
  • Coordinates, monitors, and verifies cleaning and sanitation activities-both inside and outside the plant
  • Provides leadership by coaching and directing efforts to control costs, maintain and improve sanitation practices and procedures.
  • Ensures employees are trained.
  • Maintains and implements the facilities sanitation program in Tapware. Always keep our Tapware sanitation documentation over 90% completion rate. Keep QCPM’s at 100% completion
  • Ensures associated documentation is maintained for customer and regulatory review.
  • Performs internal audits and inspections and recommends maintenance- repair needs to comply with NYS and federal regulations.
  • Implements corrections and corrective actions to support continuous improvement.
  • Communicates issues or potential issues to site senior management.
  • Ensures that the plant is always audit ready.
  • Work with engineering on sanitation issues. Follow up and document progress
  • Works with chemical supplier to maintain sanitation equipment and chemical inventory.
  • Performs other duties assigned by QC manager, Cooler manager and Assist. plant manager
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule to support sites sanitation program.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Associates related science degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of food sanitation or progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing. Working knowledge of GMP’s, HACCP, food safety, sanitation process, sanitation chemicals and quality control. experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions and regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Working knowledge with Microsoft office applications, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to hot / wet / humid and cold conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
