Overview:
Georgia Crown Distributing Co. is looking for an Off-Premise Spirits Sales Supervisor in McDonough Ga. Georgia Crown is a full-service alcoholic beverage distributor with wholesale operations doing business in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.
Responsibilities:
Full-time position. Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of sales representatives engaged in promoting and selling our products. Must be able to travel throughout territories with Sales Representatives for the purpose of providing guidance on accounts and maintaining customer relationships. Must ensure product representation and good customer service.

Position Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of all sales representatives’ quotas, goals, targets, & performance
  • Accurately evaluates performance of Sales Reps.
  • Partners with & keeps upper Management & HR informed of staff performance issues (i.e., progressive discipline, terminations, & Employee Developmental plans).
  • Execute & continual training of Sls reps to follow procedures, effective sales techniques & product knowledge.
  • Riding with all Sls Reps & discussing their individual account/territory needs. Minimum 3 days a wk.
  • Review notebooks, file systems & organizational skills of Sls Reps.; Complete acct. listing & territories.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to review division objectives and priorities.
  • Keep sales representatives abreast of current pricing and deals; monitor and control reps discounting and manual overrides.
  • Monitor new product and priority item sales & performance.
  • Implementation of Corporate and State/National Programs.
  • Develop & maintain professional and working relationships with all accounts on the team.
  • Consistently monitoring accounts in territory for full usage of point of sale & other merchandising material.
  • Regularly meeting with General Sales Manager to determine priorities & direction, also review tracking reports, goals, and all pertinent information.
  • Accurately reviewing all bonus paperwork before approvals from General Sales Manager
  • Coordinate with WHS personnel for proper delivery of products (i.e., routing, special instructions, today orders, etc.)
  • Report on market conditions & sales efforts directly to General Sales Manager. Complete all paperwork assigned, such as reports & tracking to indicate bonus- related info to specified programs or functions.
  • Develop & implement programs (i.e., educational, incentive, etc.) for salespeople & retailers.
  • Always show professionalism in all areas such as attire, conduct, time management, proper and thorough follow-up skills, sales presentations, proposals, and relationships.
  • Carry out all phases of job responsibilities as directed by General Sales Manager.
  • Achieve all sales goals and quotas.
  • Attend all sales meetings promptly and with enthusiasm.
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • 2 years minimum sales supervision experience in the alcoholic beverage industry preferred.
  • 4 years minimum outside sales experience in the beverage industry (prefer off premise spirits).
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, mathematics, time management & organizational skills.
  • Proficient user of MS Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Able to work with very little supervision.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (some overnight travel).
  • The job is very demanding, hours fluctuate, visiting accounts and spending time with sales reps during ride-withs and promotions.
  • Must be able to lift to 40lbs occasionally and/or frequently depending on the task (i.e., store resets & monthly inventory).
  • Able to work in all weather conditions, continuously sitting due to travel; reaching/working overhead (i.e. store resets).
  • Must be able to push, pull & carry cases of product.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment.
  • Must be licensable under the guideline determined by state alcohol regulations.
  • Must have reliable transportation & the ability to maintain 100/300/100 insurance limitations.
  • Must have and be able to maintain a valid GA Drivers license.
  • Background Checks (i.e., Police background, reference checks…).
  • Motor Vehicle Record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility:
    • Cannot have DUI, reckless driving or hit and run in past 5 years.
    • Cannot have more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
