The Sales Associate will support Account Executives and Ad Sales Operations in the Paramount Advertising Sales department in the Detroit office. The Sales Associate performs a variety of administrative duties and is integral in providing the highest level of service to Paramount’s client base. The Associate is charged with communicating changes in advertising schedules, working with buying agencies and clients to accommodate requested changes, monitoring daily commercial trafficking, and helping to resolve any day of air issues.

Responsibilities:
Support Account Executives in the non-selling, service function as required by agencies and clients.
Receive request for proposals (RFPs), via phone or email from agency buyers and report requested plan to the Account Executive.
Channel Plan requests to the Sales Planning team, daypart Directors, the Digital and Cable Sales teams, and applicable VPs.
Accept, review, and help to facilitate Agency requests for Plan revisions.
Once a sale is made, transfer the sales proposal to a computer “hold” which freezes CBS inventory until agency recommendation is accepted by the client.
Convey exact dates and unit cost prices to the Agency buyers.
Use pricing information and correct Nielsen ratings to negotiate make goods and discuss schedule changes across Paramount platforms.
Coordinate all office accounts payable and payroll requirements. Interface with vendors, and other office service providers on an as-needed basis.
Order Paramount merchandise for client meetings, work with Warner Bros Turner team to coordinate March Madness party, distribute merchandise etc.
Help to manage distribution of Detroit season tickets

Qualifications:
Excellent customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Excellent computer & organizational skills.
Attention to detail is essential.
Four-year college degree preferred.
Interest in Television a plus
Media/ad sales internship experience a plus.
